Summary

Grinding Ring Reader is a local-first iPhone app for reading supported NFC sharpening ring tags and keeping ring details in a local library.

Data Stored On Device

The app stores ring records, local snapshots, gallery information, and a small recent support log on the device so supported rings can be reviewed locally.

Network Use

The app may contact a backend service for optional snapshot upload, upload diagnostics, and support workflows. These network features are not required for local review of already-saved ring records.

Optional Snapshot Uploads

If enabled in the app, snapshot upload may send tag page data, tag UID, tag metadata needed to reconstruct a snapshot, and installation-level identifiers used for upload processing. Snapshot upload is optional.

Diagnostics And Support

The app can export diagnostics and support information when initiated by the user. If you send a support report, it may include the issue description you entered, app version, device model, and recent operation summaries relevant to the report.

Third-Party Services

The app uses Apple platform capabilities such as NFC and App Attest. Optional backend-supported features may use service infrastructure needed to process uploads or support requests.
